Research

Stamford Village Library subscribes to the Four County Library System Research Center, which provides links to databases featuring high-quality information free of charge to registered library users.  You can access the Research Center here.

The index of local history holdings available at the library is shown below.

You can scroll through the list or search it. To search the list, click into the history holdings page, then hold down the command key and type the letter f (for find). A box will appear. Type what you want to find (e.g., Churchill) in the box and hit enter. The first occurrence will be highlighted. Using the arrows next to the search box will allow you to navigate back and forth through the occurrences. If the list doesn’t appear immediately, scroll down to the “Download” link.

Other Resources

Each of these sites has a terms-of-use agreement posted, usually on the “Home” or “About”  page. As research sites they generally permit you to make a single copy of information for personal use, such as schoolwork. Please read the rules and follow them.
