Beginner Gardening Series
Stamford Library is pleased to partner with Cornell Cooperative Extension Delaware County to offer Seed to Supper, a free four-part gardening series designed for beginners.
This program provides a welcoming introduction to growing your own food, with a focus on building confidence, developing practical skills, and gardening successfully on a budget.
Dates: Tuesdays, April 28, May 5, May 12, and May 19
Time: 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM
Location: Stamford Library, 117 Main Street, Stamford, NY 12167
What you will learn:
- Soil health and how to create your own garden beds
- Planning and mapping your garden
- When and how to plant fruits and vegetables
- Garden care and maintenance
- Harvesting and using your homegrown produce
Seed to Supper helps participants build confidence, improve access to fresh food, and develop skills that can reduce grocery costs and support long-term food security.
