Poetry Workshop: Journal Entry – My Sacred Blessings

On Saturday, October 14 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., you are invited to attend this special Authentic Poetry Workshop with accomplished poet, author, and poetry facilitator Jerrice J. Baptiste at Stamford Library.

“Our own personal world is far from perfect, at times chaotic, so that we miss out on noticing the blessings of our days which can be extraordinary,” stated Baptiste.

World-known poets, including John O’Donohue, Rosemary Wahtola Trommer, Mary Oliver, John Welwood, Jan L, Richardson, and others write about their blessings to remind us of ours.

Through the Journal Entry: My Sacred Blessings Workshop, participants will become more aware of “the quiet miracles that seek no attention”, and be invited to take part in the great practice of keeping a gratitude journal to help them realize how blessed they are throughout their everyday life.

Participants will be invited to rejuvenate their spirit with guided meditation, poetry readings, creative writing with prompts, reflection, sharing, and group discussion. Please dress comfortably, bring water to drink, and have a notebook and pen or pencil.

All writing levels are welcome and encouraged to take part. The workshop is free and open to all!
