From Fabric to Finished Clothing: Kids Sewing Class Series

Join us for a free, hands-on 7-week sewing series where kids will learn how clothing is made—from the first stitch to a finished wearable project!

Led by Megan Avery of Hipstitch Academy, this progressive class will introduce participants to hand sewing, embroidery, sewing machines, patterns, and clothing construction. Over the course of the series, participants will build their skills and confidence while creating fun, hands-on projects they can use and wear.

No prior sewing experience is required! All supplies, materials, equipment, and sewing machines will be provided.

This class is designed for youth approximately ages 8–16 and is limited to 8 participants. Because each week’s lessons build on the skills learned previously, participants must commit to attending the full seven-week series.

Come learn a practical new skill, explore your creativity, and discover that making your own clothing can be fun and rewarding!
