Fall 8-Week Guitar Series
Stamford Library is incredibly excited to welcome back guitarist, performer, and educator Drew Azzinaro for another session of Guitar in the Mountains! Thanks to a Delaware County Arts Grant through the Roxbury Arts Group, this free community guitar program is returning for another year of learning, music, and connection.
Whether you’re picking up a guitar for the first time or ready to move beyond the fundamentals, Drew’s welcoming group classes provide an opportunity to build your skills, gain confidence, and make music alongside others in our community.
Fall Session
Mondays, September 21 – November 16
No class October 12 due to the Columbus Day/Indigenous Peoples’ Day holiday
Beginner Class | 4:00–4:50 p.m.
For beginner adults and youth ages 7–13 with a participating caregiver. Students will explore foundational guitar techniques, rhythm, scales, and repertoire from a variety of musical traditions.
Intermediate Class | 5:00–5:50 p.m.
For guitarists ages 14 and up who are ready to move beyond the fundamentals. Students will explore more advanced techniques, scales, chords, improvisation, accompaniment, and rhythm concepts.
Both classes emphasize shared learning and collaboration while exploring musical traditions including classical, jazz, blues, folk, and contemporary music.
The program is FREE, but space is limited and registration is required. Previous sessions have filled quickly, so don’t wait to reserve your spot!

Participants must be able to commit to the full eight-week series. Each session will culminate in a live recital at Stamford Library, giving students the opportunity to share what they’ve learned and celebrate their accomplishments with the community.
