“Good Stories” Writing Workshop with Esther Cohen & Amanda Gulla

Stamford Library and Western Catskills Indivisible invite you to “Good Stories,” a special writing workshop with master teacher, author, and poet Esther Cohen and writer and educator Amanda Nicole Gulla.
Have you always wanted to write a story but never quite gotten around to it? This workshop invites you to write the stories you’ve always wanted to write while exploring and expressing your creative voice in a supportive community setting with your neighbors.
Esther Cohen is a master teacher, poet, and author of nine books, including Book Doctor. Her work as a poet is prolific and wide-ranging, including her poem “Not the Poet Laureate.” She publishes a daily poem on Substack at Overheard and teaches in laundromats, supermarkets, libraries, and classrooms. Her work has appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, and numerous literary publications. Esther lives in Greene County and New York City.
Amanda Nicole Gulla is a poet and educator and the author of Inquiry Based Learning through the Arts for Teachers and Teacher Educators (Palgrave MacMillan, 2020) and the poetry chapbook A Banner Year for Apples, in addition to numerous publications about learning through the arts and social justice in education. She lives in Margaretville in the beautiful Western Catskills of Delaware County and is one of the founders of Western Catskills Indivisible.
Whether you are an experienced writer or simply have a story you’ve been wanting to tell, this workshop is an opportunity to explore your creativity, express your voice, and write in community.
This event is free, but space is limited. Registration is required.
