Disaster Preparedness Workshop – July 12
Join us at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 12 for a free interactive Disaster Preparedness Workshop presented by Western Catskills Community Revitalization Council, Inc.
This event is made possible through funding from the AARP Community Challenge grant, awarded by AARP and AARP Livable Communities.
Led by HUD-Certified Counselor Eileen Knott, the workshop will cover essential information to help individuals, families, and small businesses prepare for and respond to emergencies. Topics will include an overview of disaster risks, steps for safeguarding your home and loved ones, practical crisis response strategies, updates on FEMA efforts, and additional resources for building resilience.
All attendees will receive a preparedness bag filled with emergency supplies valued at thirty-five dollars. There will also be a raffle for a chance to win a weather radio, helping you stay informed during severe weather or other emergencies.
