Fairy House Building at the Awen Center – Oct. 5
Autumn leaves are falling and our local forests are overflowing with tiny treasures perfect for creating whimsical fairy houses!
Fairy houses are magical little structures where fairies and woodland creatures can live and play. They are a wonderful way to bring the magic of nature to your lawn, garden, or woods!
You are invited to join experienced fairy house builder Deborah Liotta in creating a new home for your fairy friends at this hands-on, immersive program at the Awen Center. Houses will be made with items found right outside!
The program will be held on Saturday, October 5 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is perfect for families and individuals of all ages (an adult must accompany children).
A variety of building materials will be on hand, but participants are invited to collect and bring natural materials from home including pine cones, sticks, bark, moss, leaves, rocks, berries, and more!
The fairy house building program will be held outdoors and in an open barn, so please dress for the weather! Light snacks will be provided.
The event is FREE and open to ALL but space is limited and pre-registration is required by stopping in or calling Stamford Library at 607.652.5001.
