Calling all guitarists AND aspiring guitarists!
Stamford Library is excited to announce a classical guitar workshop series with local guitarist and musician Drew Azzinaro! Whether you have been playing for years and want to increase your guitar skills and knowledge while having a chance to play with others or you are a complete beginner, this guitar class is for you!
During this 10-week series, you will learn the fundamentals of finger-picking and flat-picking, increase your chord and scale vocabulary, improve your rhythm, and learn to improvise, all while performing fun blues pieces, classic rock pieces, classical pieces, and more!
Every student will have parts created for their skill level, specifically designed to help them learn and grow. Participants will make music during every class and the series will culminate in a showcase concert performance!
Classes are FREE and open to those ages 6 and up. Adults are welcome and encouraged to take part. Participants will need to provide their own acoustic guitars with nylon or steel strings.
