Acting Shakespeare Workshop
Perfect for kids who like acting and are interested in learning more about William Shakespeare!

Join actress, teaching artist, and published author Sheri Graubert (a.k.a Lady Shakespeare) for this immersive and interactive workshop! Sheri will introduce kids to Shakespeare, and explain who he was and why he is still important today before challenging them to use his language style in a fun and physical way!
The workshop will culminate in a brief presentation of their work for parents, caregivers, and anyone else who would like to stop in!
Kids are encouraged to wear comfortable clothes and shoes so they can move around and get active. Parents of younger kids are welcome to join the workshop, as long as they are willing to get in on the fun rather than just watch.
This free workshop is aimed at those ages 7 to 17! Space is limited, so reserve your spot today by stopping into Stamford Library or by calling 607.652.5001.

Sheri has acted in Shakespeare plays her entire adult life. She has performed with theatre companies such as the English Shakespeare Company and Cheek by Jowl. The New York Times described her Isabella as “immaculate” and her Margaret as “fierce.” Sheri has simultaneously taught Shakespeare to kids all over the UK and in NYC. She was a teaching artist with the New York City Student Shakespeare Festival for many years.
Sheri’s debut novel, Molly Shipton, Secret Actress is set in Tutor London and Shakespeare’s Theatre world. The book is available to borrow from Stamford Library and Sheri will have copies available for purchase at the event to be signed by the author!
