Preparing for Disaster Presentation
No one can prevent natural disasters or adverse events such as cyber-attacks. We don’t like to think about them, but being prepared is the best way to get through difficult times.
Join Eileen Knott from the Western Catskills Community Revitalization Council (WCCRC) on Tuesday, January 17 at 11 a.m. at the Stamford Library for this FREE interactive presentation and learn how to develop a personal plan before disaster strikes. Eileen will share the best ways to gain access to FEMA funds and resources for recovery and give you strategies to tell the difference between a real ad for assistance and a scam.
Did you access FEMA assistance after Hurricane Irene? Come share your experience with us!
You could also win a free gas card!
Participants will be asked to fill out a short financial survey at the presentation.
Pre-registration is encouraged but not required to participate. Stop by or call the Stamford Library at 607.652-5001 to register.
