Students ages 8-16 are welcome to sign-up for a free series of 8 theater workshops held weekly on Wednesdays 5-6:30 pm starting September 14, 2022, to be held at the First Presbyterian Church located at 96 Main St, Stamford, NY 12167. Workshops will be led by local theater educator Marisa Caruso, who taught a similar successful set of improv workshops in 2021.
Parents of interested students may sign them up by emailing: firstname.lastname@example.org or by visiting the Stamford Village Library, located at 117 Main St, Stamford, NY 12167. Workshops will include explorations of basic theater techniques in performance, writing, production elements, and script analysis with a final presentation for families and friends of students.
In eight weeks, students will learn a series of vocal and physical warm-ups and theater games, a variety of acting and writing exercises, a few famous playwrights and their styles, as well as present short scenes for their families and peers. The capacity is only 15 students, so sign up fast!
