June news
Thanks to all who supported the library’s Flag Day Book Sale and 50/50 raffle! We’ve freed up lots of space in the programs room where the books to be sold were stored. If you need space to hold a meeting, there’s a form at the circulation desk you can fill out to reserve the space. We have two folding tables, and lots of chairs!
The library is now open on Mondays for the summer season, from noon to 5:00p.m.
One new video circuit has arrived, with another expected. Come in and browse the nearly ninety new titles on DVD we’ll have for the next three months.
At least one local gardener has been in for some seeds to replace a lost early planting. Seeds will be available until the end of June. Thanks to both donators of, and recipients of, seeds who help make the seed library a success. And thanks to Transition Catskills for providing the seed packets and promotional material to all libraries in Delaware County!
Now that summer weather is returning, come on in and enjoy our air conditioning while you browse for books, magazines, movies or audiobooks. Or feel free to come in and use our wifi, or sign in for one of our six computers. The gaming computer is super-fast and we have a gaming mouse, headset and microphone available for checkout at the front desk. As always, computer policy is that if there’s someone waiting for a computer, the user on the longest will be asked to make the computer available after one half hour; if there is no one waiting, you are free to stay on indefinitely (well, at least, until closing!).
In addition to faxing and copying, we also now offer a scan-and-email service for your documents. The first two pages are free; each additional page is 50 cents.
