Seed swap on!
March is when serious gardeners’ thoughts turn to the bounty of the spring, summer and fall here in the Catskills! For the past several years, we’ve had a seed library available here. Along with your books, magazines and DVDs, why don’t you take home a few seeds for planting? Or, if you have leftover seeds from your own orders, or have saved seeds from some heirloom varieties, feel free to drop them off here at the library for others to try! Thanks to Transitions Catskills, all libraries in Delaware County are now participating in the seed swap. Give some new varieties a try, and leave some feedback on your own successes (or failures).
Some of the varieties we have: Wee Be Little pumpkins (a personal favorite), Yellow Brandywine tomatoes, catnip, Cucumber Double Yield, California Wonder pepper, round black radish – and too many others to list!
